Kalonzo is the fourth child of subsistence farmers in a nearby village. He was unable to pass Kindergarten since he suffered from a lazy eye AND a cataract. However, he could very eagerly sing the alphabet song! His near-blindness has been an incredible hardship on his parents. A friend had taken her own daughter into Lighthouse and advised Kalonzo’s mom to do the same. Now that he has had surgery, he is back in school and doing well. His parents are so grateful for the opportunity they had to get help for their son!
